A few years ago, Google launched its SMS chat service via Gmail. But it was cancelled by Google.This service was relaunched some time back, but was limited to few countries, like U.S. etc.

Google has, very recently, introduced updates to the service.Gmail SMS messaging is now available across 50+ countries.You can now send texts to a lot of networks in many countries, absolutely free!In this tutorial you will learn How to Send FREE SMS With Gmail To Any Mobile In Any Country.About SMS Service, Google says;

Send SMS text messages right from Gmail. You chat from your comfy computer and reach your friends on the go; they get your messages as texts and can peck out replies on their little keyboards.

How to Send Texts?

Sending SMS is simple. You of course need to have a Gmail account for sending SMS.

Step 1: Type Phone Number In Chat & SMS

Type the phone number you want to send an SMS to and click Send SMS

Step 2: Add A Contact Name

Add the SMS recipient’s name and country, then click Save

Step 3: Write Your Message

Write in your message in the chat window and press Enter on your keyboard

SMS Limit

Google gives you 50 credits this means you can send 1 message per credit.But for single SMS received, say when someone replies to your Gmail text, you get 5 credits instantly. Ask your friends to reply your texts :). 

After lose all the credits you will receive one credit after 24 hours. A useful way to up your credits would be to send a text to your own cell phone, and then replying to it any number of times to refill your credits!

What Are The Charges?

As mentioned above this service is free.So, Google does not charge anything.Due to new service to most countries, some companies might charge you for it. Usually, you won't be charged for sending SMS through Gmail. Supported Mobile Operators

The reason of my excitement behind this service is that, it wasn't available for India country before. Not only for India, but for most of other countries as well.This is good news for our all readers.More than 50+ countries are included.All operators are supported in India.

If your country is listed, but not your service provider, don't appear!Main thing is that your country is included, services operators is not a big issue.Just wait and watch. If your country isn't listed, Google promises to include more countries in next few days.
