SMS Restriction Has Been Withdrawn From Today
Good news! Bulk restriction on SMS has been withdrawn from today.Now, you can send unlimited SMS from your mobile device.Benefits as per pack will apply for pack users.As you know, Government of India banned bulk SMS and MMS on 18 August, 2012.Later, the restriction was reviewed on August 24 when the telecom ministry increased the limit from 5 SMSes to 20 SMSes

"After reviewing the matter again on Thursday, the ministry lifted the restriction allowing citizens to use text messages and MMSes without any limit of numbers with immediate effect," said a home ministry official.

As per that order, no one was allowed to send more than 5 SMSs at one go and more than 20 KB of data from a mobile device for the next 15 days.
