Facebook Adds New Emoticon Option To Status Updates

Recently, Facebook engineers adds new emotions feature for status updates. They have introduced status emoticons and new tagging options in the US after trialling the features for few months. Now, Facebook users in USA can now select a smiley, sad or other face to express their mood when publishing new status updates.

Watching something? Driving something? FB wants you to tell your others about it with a new emoticon feature available through the status update box.

The new tool, lets you to select a number of emoticons to denote exactly what it is they're making or how they're doing.

There are few smileys to express emotions (happy, sad, tired, great, wonderful and others). For an example see image below:

But a new update features are different, letting users tell their friends what they're "listening to," "feeling," "drinking," "watching" or "eating."
