This is great question but adding photos to an MP3 - one at a time or in a batch - is a fairly painless endeavor. Mp3 files can store extra data in the form of ID3 tags. Adding a image or replacing the existing Mp3 album art is really easy!

iTunes

iTunes is a software powered by Apple. The iTunes software can easily edit the ID3 tags of any Mp3 file. Click on the file so that it turns blue and then right mouse-click and choose the option, called "Get Info". You will see new dialog window. Click on the "Artwork" tab. Click the "Add" button and browse to the image file you want to use and click "OK" to close the window. You can delete existing image also.

iTunes

If you want to add the same image to multiple Mp3 files, hold the "Ctrl" key down as you select the files. Once all of your files are selected, you can right-click on any of the files and click "Get Info."

Mp3 Tag

Mp3 tag is a free software that help you to edit ID3 tags of any Mp3 file. You can change or add album artwork to one or more files at a time. Open the software and click "Add Directory" and browse the music files. After browsing all Mp3 files of the selected directory, you can choose one or all files to be changed. If the selected Mp3 file contains an image already then it will be shown bottom left.

Extented Tags - Mp3tag

To add an image click on Mp3 file and then click on extended tags and a Tags window will appear. From the Tags window you can change any details from Metadata located on the left. The cover section, found on the right side, will allow you to add a cover image. After adding an image press "Ok".

Remember Notes: Your image file must be in JPG, JPEG or PNG format.
