Author: Gagan Masoun
Today, I we will talk about "How to Increase Page Views and Reduce Bounce Rate in Blogger".Traffic, page views, back links, bounce rate, and Page Rank are some of the most important web related terminologies for webmasters and bloggers. All these terms are integral for a website or blog to be visible on the search engine results page. Of the terminologies, traffic, back links, and PageRank are all related to search engine optimization, while page views and bounce rate depend on the quality and keyword relativity of the content. Page view is defined as the number of unique visitors who visit your website. Bounce rate is defined as the percentage of visitors who exit your website without looking at any of the other pages of your website.

Both page view and bounce rate play a crucial role in the success of a website or blog. Most webmasters work hard and spend a lot of time to drive online traffic to their websites and blogs. Though most webmasters and bloggers possess the knack of driving online traffic, it is certainly not a tedious task either. If you can write half a dozen high quality articles, which alone is more than enough to drive reasonable online traffic to your blog. Irrespective of the online traffic, the most important part is getting hold of your visitors and making them stay on your blog. The most difficult part is to appeal them and make them visit another page of your website. This aspect is where most webmasters fail to succeed and that is why most of their blogs have a high bounce rate.

I would like to suggest a few tips to help increase page views and reduce bounce rate in Blogger.
  • The most important aspect to increase page views and reduce bounce rate is to make sure your blog has high quality, grammatically sound content. This is fundamental for any blog, but still this is a prime reason why most blogs have a high bounce rate. Even though the content may not be relevant to the keyword, a quality article will motivate the visitor to read other articles on the blog.
  • Keep a tab on the number of plugins you install in your blog, because the more the plugins the more time it takes to load your blog. You can also choose a better blog hosting package, because most of the cheap hosting packages use a shared server. Slow loading of your blog is detrimental to your conversion rates.
  • You can interlink all your quality posts with help of suitable anchor texts. One aspect that you should focus on while interlinking your posts is to ensure that the posts are in some way related to the subject of the current post. Interlinking helps you reduce bounce rates and improve your blog’s visibility on search engine results page.
  • If you are expert in writing lengthy articles with about 800 to 1,000 words, then it is advisable to break your content into small sections. You can also paginate your post or add links to the next section of your post at the beginning or end of the post.
  • You can conduct polls and ask questions to your visitors, so that it encourages your visitors to read the blog, participate in polls and answer your questions. You can also include commenting platforms to serve this purpose.
  • Another important method to reduce bounce rate is by showing the posts related to the current post at the end of your post or on the side of your post. There are specific plugins on Blogger to serve this purpose, make sure you install them in your blog.
  • As the home page of your blog or website is the most visited page on your blog, please ensure that you include the links of the most visited pages of your blog in the home page.
